paint consists of pigment suspension mixed with an acrylic emulsion. Acrylic
paints can be diluted with water. However, they become water resistant when
they dry up. Like with water colors, acrylic pants also come in three main
grades, the professional, student and scholastic grades. Acrylic paints come in
different varieties including craft, gouache, fluid and interactive.
Oil painting is another of the popular painting techniques
available today. These have been around for centuries and some of the most
famous paintings in the world are oil paintings. Oil paints are made from
pigments mixed with a drying oil such as linseed oil. The amount of time an oil
painting takes to dry out depends largely on the drying oil used. This can be
weeks or even months. The main support for oil paintings is canvas. Since water
isn’t used in the creation of oil paints, they are easier to work on.
